Budget Camping Safaris

This camping safari in Kenya takes you from Nairobi, Kenya's capital, to the magnificent Masai Mara via Mount Kenya's vicinity, a camel trek and the Great Rift Valley.

Day 1 - Arrive into Nairobi on KLM. Clear immigration and customs and then transfer to Macushla House for your overnight stay.DB

Day 2 - Drive to El Karama Ranch in Laikipia. The ranch is a combined
game sanctuary and cattle ranch and when you book the campsite you are the only people on the ranch which is over 50,000 acres. Game includes elephant, giraffe, large herds of eland, all plains game, Grevy's zebra, lion and cheetah. Game drive in the afternoon, all meals and overnight at the campsite. LD

Day 3 - Game drive and/or game walk as you choose. You'll also get a
night game drive in the evening. If you wish you may pay extra to horse ride or go fishing. All meals and overnight at the campsite. BLD

Day 4- Drive to the start of our mini camel trek. The Samburu warriors
will walk you through the wilderness with all our gear carried on the
camels. Evening camp is set up next to a waterfall and we sit around the
campfire at night swapping safari tall tales! All meals and overnight
camping. BLD

Day 5 - After an early breakfast we walk back to the vehicle and continue down to Lake Nakuru via Thompson's Falls. Here we will stay at the Mbweha Bandas just outside the park. Take a night game drive and then dinner and overnight at the bandas. The bandas are proper rooms with ensuite facilities and give a nice break from the camping.LD

Day6- A full day game drive in the park with a picnic lunch and then
return to the bandas for dinner and overnight. If tired, this is a great
spot to rest and relax for a day at the bandas.BLD

Day7- Drive to the world’s finest wildlife reserve-Masai mara-maasai being the people, maa being the language they speak and mara meaning dappled. Everything about this reserve is outstanding. The wildlife is abundant and birds too are prolific.
You arrive at the exclusive tipilikwani camp in good time for lunch. Enjoy an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp.LD

Day 8/9- Maasai mara

Day 10 - Drive back to Nairobi and transferred to your hotel/day room having an option to do some shopping or sightseeing as you choose in the afternoon. Dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant and then transfer to the airport for your outbound flight.
