NAIROBI – AMBOSELI-NGORONGORO-SERENGETI-KIRAWIRA-MAASAI MARA-12 Days
Day 1: Nairobi
On your arrival at Nairobi International Airport you are met by our tour director who will transfer you to the intercontinental Hotel for an overnight. BB
Day 2: Nairobi – Amboseli
After breakfast drive south-east of Nairobi covering 240 km (approx 3 and a half hours) in to one of Kenya’s famous National park at the foot of the roof of Africa, 5191m snow capped Kilimanjaro. Despite its small size and its fragile ecosystem it supports a wide range of mammals and birds. You arrive at the Amboseli serena lodge in very good time for lunch and later enjoy a late afternoon gamedrive. Dinner and over night at the Amboseli serena lodge.LD
Day 3: Amboseli
Go game viewing early in the morning and late in the afternoon in this locale around which such famous writers as Earnest Hemingway and Robert Ruark spun their stories of big game hunting in the wilds of Africa.BLD
Day 4: Amboseli-Ngorongo crater
After breakfast drive to the Namanga border where after clearing with the
immigrations the border is crossed on foot and you will change vehicles and driver/guides, driving to Arusha-Tanzania for lunch and later proceed to Ngorongoro serena lodge which is build on the rim.D
Day 5: Ngorongoro
Half day tour at the floor of the crater. All meals and overnight at the Ngorongoro serena lodge.BLD
Day 6: Ngorongoro-Serengeti
After breakfast depart for the world famous Serengeti N.P via olduvai pre historic site arriving in time for lunch at the mbuzi mawe serena camp. Dinner and overnight at the camp. LD
Day 7: Serengeti
Full day game drive in the Serengeti with picnic lunch returning to the camp for dinner and overnight. BLD
Day 8: Serengeti-kirawira-Western Serengeti
Depart mbuzi mawe after breakfast for western Serengeti arriving at the kirawira-serena tented camp for lunch. Nothing compares to this luxurious camp in the middle of “nowhere”. Kirawira camp is a member of small luxurious hotels of the world. You are welcome for an evening game drive along the crocodile and hippopotamus infested Grumeti river. LD
Day 9:Western Serengeti
This day you are at leisure giving you a chance to indulge in the scenery with an option to be taken to the shores of Lake Victoria where the locals go on with their day to day chores, fishing and selling their early morning catch(no extra cost). BLD
Day 10:Western Serengeti-Maasai mara
After breakfast depart Kirawira for masai mara with lunch boxes entering Kenya through sirari-isebania border clearing with immigrations and change of driver/guide and vehicles and later proceed to the wilderness wonderland arriving at the mara serena lodge after a long day for dinner and overnight. Day 11:Maasai mara
Balloon flight (optional extra) or game drive after breakfast giving you ample time to explore this wonder of the world as everything about this park is outstanding. The wildlife is abundant with about 67 different larger mammals including the big five. Birds too are prolific. Including migrants +/- 500 species have been recorded, among them 57 species of birds of prey.
July to October, is when the great wildebeest migration in the mara, the sensation is unparalleled. Each year, far south in the great vastness of Serengeti, the wildebeests raise their dignified but quaint heads, sniff the air and, as if by one accord, start the long trek After exhausting the grazing in Tanzania’s northern Serengeti drawn by the sweet grass raised by the long rains of April and May. There is nowhere else on earth to compare with this wildlife marvel. An evening game drive is included to explore more of the mara and If you wish to go for more adventure, you can opt to go for a night game drive organized by the lodge (optional extra) BLD
Day 12:Maasai mara-Nairobi
After breakfast depart mara arriving in Nairobi in the afternoon where you are transferred to your hotel for a day room, overnight or to the Jomo kenyatta airport for your outbound flight.
